Anime FX Open House 9/18

    Now that we got the glitches out of our system and we finally have a room, it's now to get our hands dirty and really get the festivities started.

    Ladies and Gentlemen of Bayanime, I am pleased to announce that our open house for AnimeFX will be this Friday. Come and enjoy our anime viewing room while socializing with those who are interested in both Japanese anime and manga. Who knows, you might walk away with a few more friends than you did before. Last week we had a great time socializing, playing board games and even had a mini cosplay photoshoot on campus. Food will be provided but don't expect a three course meal, we are anime fans after all.

    Our viewing room schedule is as follows for the night:

    Astro Fighter Sunred - Ep 15 - 16
    Zetsubou Sensei (Season 3) Ep 1

    Valkyria Chornicals - Ep 1

    (15 Minute Break)

    Kaiji - Ep 10

    I'm interested in attending, but unfortunately, these meetings are hours after my last class, and I don't live on campus. Is parking in the area pretty easy at around that time, or do you have any suggestions on where to park other than the garage of SFSU?

    junipero serra is where i used to find parking when i went to sfsu...but when i was late for class or i felt like a lazy ass and didn't want to walk a couple of blocks then i would park in the parking structure and pay. parking should be available at that time...i'm sure some students will have a "student holiday" tomorrow and decide to have a 3-day weekend.

    there's was also parking down by lowell high school but you had to pay i think..but be prepared for a little nature hike. i used to park here when i couldn't find sh*t for parking. lol...hmmm i wonder it you can still park there.

    you could try parking in the mall's lot but you might get a ticket.

    I'd just say to hunker down with some games or some homework too somewhere on campus after your class. Parking could be lighter, since it's a Friday afternoon. Junipero Serra if you're cheap and not bothered by exercise, 19th if you're testing your luck, back of Stonestown parking lot for risky if caught (but guaranteed spots).

    Are you planning to just drive to school, go to class, drive back home, then come back to school? That's kind of not fun at all and expensive.

    I have 7 hours between one class and my next. I'd rather stick around at school than commute back home, then commute again to school only to go home again.

    It's not uncommon for FX members to meet up during the downtime they have between their last class and the meetings. Usually they pass the time by hanging out in the chavez center or at another member's dorm. Usually I'm found in the later as I am the co-founder of SFSU's unofficial Type Moon/Visual Novel Appreciation Club.

    Really it's really up to you think it's worth it to wait a few extra hours to see what FX is all about cause I can understand how sitting around SF with nothing much to do is a real pain in the rear end.
