    Ello all, found this website when I joined a club on another website, myanimelist.net. Nice to meet you all.

    Just moved up here couple weeks ago from Rancho Mirage, Cali. Been pretty fun, I did actually go to Aki Matsuri on Saturday around noonish, didn't really watch much. Went inside the Kintetsu and went into Manga Cafe Mika, was different and relaxing. Was actually hoping that they would serve bubble tea, but didn't =/

    I miss lollicup closest one down here is in San Jose, anyone know of a nice place that serves bubble tea in Berkeley or SF? =p

    Edit: Hit submit too early. =p

    Favorite Animes: Macross Frontier, Rosario to Vampire, Rosario to Vampire Capu2, Claymore
    Mangas: Jyu-Oh-Sei, Claymore

    On the animes I've read the manga as well minus Rosario to Vampire, I believe that those aren't available in USA and I've been to lazy to go find it. As well as reason why I have multiple favorites is because its hard to just choose 1. =p

  2. Hi TianLord! Thanks for finding us here and welcome to our community!! ^_^ I think the problem with Manga Cafe Mika serving drinks and food is that the mall regulates things so other businesses (like May's next door) don't get mad for allowing someone else to infringe on their business. ^^;;

    There are a ton of places serving bubble tea in SF downtown near Chinatown and also on Clement Street in the Richmond district (SF's second Chinatown). I actually don't drink it but I've been to Tea Garden on 1st and Mission downtown (I wrote about it here:
    http://superann.com/2006/05/03/beef-noodle-soup-in-san-francisco/), which has some pretty good food too -- just don't go late at night when they've run out of ingredients!

    Thanks, someone just told me about yelp and found some. Noticed that there was a couple that i walked past on my way to Japan Town. Didn't know they sold it, so this weekend I'll be able to get some. Haven't had any in like a month.

    And if you are in Japantown, you can get bubble tea right next door to May's where they sell the crepes. That's where I always get mine ^_^

    And for the east bay there are a couple places in Pacific East Mall in El Cerrito where you can get bubble teas. And if you ever go to the Marketplace in Emeryville, I always get my bubble tea at Hannah's Cookies. They are a friendly married couple who own the place and I like to support them when I can. I used to go there all the time when my store was still in that shopping center.

    Yay for bubble teas! Oh and for a quickie alternative in the enjoyment of your own home. I always buy those canned black teas or thai teas at 99 Ranch, and pour it into a couple full of ice and then add some half and half. Deeelicious. Oh and also, I sometimes buy tapioca and when I'm not too lazy, i'll just make it myself and then presto, homemade bubble tea! lol

    Enjoy!

    Your all over the place, yea i saw the El cerrito place. But i dont drive so i'm limited in where i go. =p

    I just take the bart and walk usually which is why I like japantown instead of el cerrito alot more to do and if i went to the el cerrito place i would end up buying too much and dont wanna carry it all home. =p
