   I made this video a long time ago.

   It was a short clip done as a joke, and it's probably the last video "production" I worked on since then.
   I'm an animator by trade, but lately I've shot some convention and event footage for BayAnime.com and have been rekindling an interest in video work.

   Soo~ I was wondering if there's anyone out there who is interested in working on some short films! All we need really are some people who are willing to write, shoot video, or just act in front of the camera. Actually actors or video personalities are the most important part. Since this is a BayAnime based project I thought it would be neat to base the shorts on anime or japanese culture related themes.

   Some ideas that I think would be fun are.
   - Commercial spoofs, or just our own twisted takes on Japanese products. (Why do I keep thinking of Pocky?)
   - Over the top skits based on anime/manga characters.
   - Video Reviews of anime or Japanese dramas/movies.

   If anyone's got any suggestions or wants to try something, I'm all ears!

   Ninja's trying to assassinate some guy. Ninja keeps pulling pocky out of his pocket or somewhere and throws them like kunai. Two or three shots of this and the target dodging as pocky sticks into the wall behind him (e.g. runs up a wall with 3 pocky kunai trailing his feet). Finally the target just catches one, tests it with his finger, realizes it's not sharp at all but in fact food, and takes a huge bite while holding it up smiling.

   Ninja then stabs him with a knife.

   Ending A) Ninja takes said pocky held by the target and has a triumphant bite
   Ending B) Ninja takes said pocky but cannot get it through his ninja mask to eat it
   Ending C) Ninja pulls out a Mentos

   I say we combine all three endings.

   Starting with B) Ninja breaks pocky while trying to eat it threw his/her mask. C) Pulls out Mentos. Of course the obligatory mentos music rolls out. A) Goes over to the pocky in the target's hand, pulls down the bottom part of his/her mask with a big cheesy smile and chomps on the pocky. D) We win the Cleo award.

   Hmm so basically all we need are
   - 2 actors (gender doesn't matter)
   - 1 or 2 boxes of Pocky
   - 1 camera guy (I've got a camcorder)
   - 1 toy sword that I could probably pickup at DAISO
   - and some kind of thingy that'll pass as a ninja mask <--- I'll look for something online. Suggestions welcome.

   The rest, we can take care of with some digital magic.
   We could probably shoot this during an upcoming BayAnime meet.

   Throwing my 2 cents in on combining the endings; I think jamming 3 jokes together dilutes the humor of the punchline a little much. I would treat it as 3 separate endings, and either edit together 3 different videos in post or treat it in the style of Clue's ending. But that's just my opinion on it; I will leave the final decision in the hands of the director.

    Maybe we can shoot this some time over the summer. I don't think we need more than a couple of hours to film what we need. I'm gonna take ColdDuck's 2 cents and go with 1 ending. I think B works best. I'm gonna try some camera and special effects tests with some Pocky when I get the chance and post the vids here. Since pink would stand out the most on screen, Strawberry Pockys seem like the best choice.

    im definitely down to act in skits! that sounds like a lot of fun! ive always wanted to do a zombie short. like a res evil mansion type scenario,or a running down streets/alley ways from a zombie mob kinda thing.slow and scary or fast and frantic.i dunno.just throwing out some ideas.
    if you do the pocky ninja thing,i would love to help. i have a few ninja "props" that will definitely make things...believable.and then i could do an akatsuki shinobi cameo.cause whats a ninja flick with out an akatsuki shinobi? nachos without cheese,thats what.
