    Hello,

    I stumbled upon this site and had to join - what a great idea.

    My name is Kelly and I live and work in El Cerrito. I love anime and manga, and have been a fan since I was a little kid.

    Not much to say that my bio doesn't. I'm a web developer and wannabe-cartoonist. I also like cooking and video games, especially RPGs(including MMO).

    My favorite anime include Natsume Yuujincho, Mushi Shi, Ghost in the Shell SAC, and Kino's journey. For manga, right now it's Life and Kitchen Princess.

    Incidentally, I'm also a web developer and GITS SAC is one of my favorites too (I've actually been rewatching it recently).

    Cool website! We have a few more aspiring artists/cartoonists here. Have you ever heard of BAAU?

    Hey, cool, Ann. I'd like to commend you on using Wordpress as a CMS. It's excellent.

    I have heard of BAAU, but haven't had the chance to meet up with them. I hope to eventually though :>

    Thanks Kelly! I'd been using a lot of WordPress for work so it seemed like a good idea to use it as a platform for BayAnime. There's a ton of customizations I have planned though, I just need to find the time to put it in place! What kind of web dev do you do?

    The BAAU people are super nice! They publish a compilation of local artist works called BAAU Down and sell it at all the major conventions around here... if I were still drawing I'd try to submit something too!

    Any anime-related events/places/groups in El Cerrito? Do you come into the city for events?

    @ann: I'm a front-end webdeveloper. I mainly build templates for Drupal and Wordpress, with a little php and jquery on the side.

    For anime related groups, I know there is one in Albany near me, but I've never been unfortunately. A few of my artist friends will occationaly meet at a cafe or rent out Library space if that qualifies as an event.

    @Bento: No I don't anymore unfortunately. All of my recent stuff should be on my website however.
