So my title has to one-up Clover's smiley-V, I threw down the dancing montage.

She and I have been together for about 8 years, and we've always been interested in Japanese pop culture. Myself moreso in games, and her in cosplay/fashion (especially the Gothic Lolita style. Like Anju in the Chibi Vampire series) and manga. Though we both enjoy watching anime together, though mostly the normal ones under 30 episodes. She's kind of into Sailor Moon, but that one isn't much for me.

My likes? I enjoyed Samurai Champloo and Bebop, and more recently Gurren Lagann. Though Air TV was good too. And watching Azumanga Daioh together was fun. Osaka has to be one of the best characters in school-girl-centric anime, and we have fun trying to pin point the part of the series where her mind broke.

On the to-do list? Pani Poni Dash, Shana, and... something I can't remember at the moment. It's written down somewhere >_>; Mai-Hime maybe? All recomended by friends. Hopefully we'll hear of more here.

Clover also thinks it's important I mention our Shiba-inu dog. he's pretty awesome. All white fur, he's being Amaterasu from Okami for halloween :D

  2. WHOA! An ALL WHITE Shiba inu?!! Where did you guys get him? Actually have been thinking about getting a shiba inu for a while now... but it's not exactly a dog you see around a whole lot and I've never seen an all white one! What's his name? Beardog (our mascot) is actually modeled after an Akita, which as you guys probably know is pretty much just a big Shiba.

Thumbs up for Cowboy Bebop! I've been meaning to check out Pani Poni as I usually really like parody anime, and I've also been hearing a lot about Gurren Lagann lately so I should probably add that to my list too.

Great to see more gaming fans around here! I'm surprised there aren't more arcade/console gaming events in the area. Maybe I just don't know about them? The only thing I know about is a LAN party coming up in December...

Pani Poni has been impossible for me to find, since it's been liscensed in America. If you find a good source to get a subbed or dubbed version, I'de love to partake.

As for arcade game events? All I know of in that area is like... street fighter tournaments. And to heck with that. Every time we play, Clover picks Cammy and rocks my face. I guess I'm no good with the Arcade :P

Oh, and here he is, his names Argos, and his collar has the keys from the Pirates of the Carribean movie:

When we were getting our first dog some 9 years ago shiba inu was one of the breeds my sister wanted. Couldn't find a licensed breeder though and went with Chow Chows instead.

They look almost the same, that pic is of one of our white chows. My mom and sister have 8 chows now counting the ones they're taking care of for me. That pic is old when it was 1 or 2 years old I don't remember.

And you should cosplay with your Shiba inu ;p

Been working on Amaterasu for him, and an Issun for me. Dont know how well he'll take to having a flaming emblem on his back though, the foam we're trying to make it out of drives him nuts.

  6. Oops! Didn't realize I was signed on to Brigade's account, but I just couldn't resist saying how cute of an Ammy he would be!!!

  7. Oh and TianLord, your Chow Chow is adorable! Argos gets really fluffy for winter time they will probably look just like twins! Brigade and I are hoping to get a red Shiba Inu puppy this coming spring, early summer. We are going to name her Agrias from Final Fantasy Tactics.

Also, just to poke fun of Brigade... Our dog's full name is Captain Jack Argos. Captain Jack from the movie The Pirates of the Carribean, and Argos is from the Odyssey. I really loved that book when I was a child and always dreamed of having a "loyal, companion" name Argos. It is the name of Odysseus's dog that waited the many years for his master's return before he died: "So saying he entered the well-built mansion, and made straight for the riotous pretenders in the hall. But Argos passed into the darkness of death, now that he had seen his master once more after twenty years." -Odyssey

Ann! You should totally get a Shiba Inu and name it Beardog! That would be absolutely adorable!

  8. KAWAII!! Argos has got to be the cutest dog I've ever seen in my life! It was sort of a toss-up between a corgi (Ein!) and a shiba but I did some research and shibas are supposed to have fewer health issues, so I'm set on a shiba now. Any good local breeders? I thought the whites were really rare, or more expensive? I'll probably go for a red one though. Hehe, Argos is a great name too... I mean, we all need a loyal companion!

Tianlord, your dog is awesome too! It's funny how many characters in anime and people who watch anime love dogs... I'm already thinking BayAnime dog park day... or... BayAnime dog cosplay...

I forgot to mention that the "dancing montage" is great! Best title on the forum for sure! ^_^

I need to get going but I just did a quick search on veoh and there seems to be some Pani Poni on there, although I'm not sure if it's raw or English subtitled.

Dogs are you best friend. ;) When i watched samurai X and saw the chow chow in it I was like zomg!

Yea but my dogs arent up here, down with my mom and younger sis. Didn't bring them for a few reasons living in an apartment and even though my dogs are trained they still can get aggressive with people they aren't familiar with. And even after they're familiar with you, like been seeing you almost everyday for 2 years, they still don't like some ppl.

Argos likes watch-dogging out our second story windows. He can get quite mouthy if we're at home, and people he doesn't know come over. He doesn't bark so much as a he talks, a prolonged kinda of... howl-whine thing, it's quite cute.

He's really quiet and shy outside the house though, I guess since we're not in "his territory" anymore he's less mouthy :P

He goes crazy playing with other dogs, but people he's not quite as affectionate with.
