For those of you who attended the summit, what were your favorite experiences?
Did you see anything that you'll remember forever? Or was it just another day in the life of an anime fan. :)

I'll describe the JPOP Summit as a miniature convention, concert, and festival all packed into one tight little package like passengers on a Tokyo subway train. LOL.
At the start of the summit, the Tape Cutting Ceremony definitely can not be missed because we'll only get to see this once in a lifetime! Unless they open up another building far into the future. Then we can see some more barrel bashing.
Ahh the Girls Rock Explosion was rockin! Red Bacteria Vacuum did an excellent job playing JRock. And Noodles were delicious to the ears. My favorite of the 3 would be TsuShiMaMiRe because their songs were easy to follow or dance to.
The Harajuku Makeover contest was funny! "Haaaa - Kuuuu", then pouty face! HEHE.
OMG. 6%DOKIDOKI was psychedelic, copacetic, and mesmerizing. This is my favorite part of the summit. A masked musician played synthesized music using a gameboy and some other gadgets. All the while three cute dancers would be moving in sync. Awesome!
WTF no Harajuku dance party!
Fashion Show:
Only spent about 15 minutes here. But I noticed that the outfits portrayed all the hard work the girls put into being lolitas.
Didn't get to experience anything inside the new building even though that was the purpose of my trip. :( Turns out the tickets were passed out early at 9am because people were already lining up at 6am. Talk about dedication!
20th Century Boys Premiere:
People who signed up or bought tickets got a small flag and a t-shirt. Then they all chanted "TA - KA - MO" or something similar. It was too late by the time I arrived so I didn't get anything.
To sum it all up, the event should be worthwhile for fans, but resources were limited and not everyone can join in on the fun.
Doh so after all that waiting did you guys not get in either? That sucks! I apologize as I think that event was probably a bit chaotic for a good meetup... the hard core fans went really early and waited to get in the stores.
The actual event was just alright for me. Didn't do any lining up and thought it was a bit ridiculous (and I still don't really know what New People is :P). I was actually went there with the #fanime group but because of delays, didn't get there till 12, but I did meet some bayanime people while Amano was on stage.
It was also cool just randomly noticing people I met at fanime there. I guess these kinds of events tends to draw the same people.
The others stayed in line. But since it was moving kind of slow, I left to go watch the bands play.
BTW. You can download a free sampler from the bands!

Daniel from Berkeley and I waited in line, and finally got into the store. The art gallery on the third floor is nice (Amano-san's work is beautiful). The second floor (lolita gear) was packed and had a LONG line of girls and women waiting to pay for merchandise. We also watched a few previews in the movie theater, which is located on the basement level. Nice theater, a little small in capacity though (143 seats).
Altogether a fun time, and it was good to see familiar faces and meet new ones! :)
Thanks for meeting up with us, Jan! Was really great to see you again too. Hopefully the next time we meet things won't be so crazy!
Kyaa!! I loved the event. I arrived at japantown at 8:00 and got ticket #102 to get in the building . Then I went to work from until 3 , my boss was nice enough to let me watch the powerpuff girl song and after I was able to interview the singer ( she is so cute ( I uploaded to you tube), Then I was so confused in wether the people in line had tickets or not and so I asked someone if they were getting in line to get in the building and after they told me they had no tickets I went to the front of the line and showed my ticket and after they told me I was kinda late they let me in, got into the 1st floor , could not see second floor , then on the amano exhibit, which was amazing. Then went back to the stage area and took some video of 6% tokidoki girls and then was heading to eat curry but I was then stopped by MTV japan and was interviewed. then I finally headed to eat curry when my friend yelled The 20th century boys takako and tomodachi are here. I ran like the wind, takako is a super star in japan and I really wanted to take a picture with tomodachi, so I was able to take a little bit of video of the presentation, I was screaming Takako so much that my throat hurt, but not as much as the japanese fans who came all the way from japan to support takak0-san. Then I got on line so that I could see the premiere of 20th century boys, the movie is so good!!, we got free t-shirts and tomodachi flags like the ones in the movie ^_^ I was sooo happpy, but not as happy as when takako actually went into the theater and thanked everyone for watching the movie. I took again some video and after the movie prepared to go home but a japanese crew asked me for an inyterview about how I liked the movie, which was kinda cool, then I got a chance to take a picture with tomodachi. oops by the way all my the videos are posted on youtube search word :Usagikam
so all in all I had so much fun.
