  2. No Xbox 360 here. I've been playing Mario Kart Wii for a while now and just got my hands on House of the Dead for Wii... ZOMBIES!

    I used to like to play fighting games quite a bit but that was when I had a bunch of friends to play with. All time favorites? Off the top of my head... Final Fantasy 3 and 7, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario Kart, Street Fighter II, Soul Calibur 2, Timesplitters 2...

    Left4Dead. That's all I have to say on the Zombie mention.

    Final Fantasy 7 was the first RPG I ever played, so it's something special. Final Fantasy Tactics was the best game I've ever played, and the PSP remake was steller, I -must- recommend everyone play it. Still. And yay for Chrono Trigger coming to the DS so I can finally play it :D

    Clover and I also waste time some days with the Guilty Gear series. Though I don't see why she prefers Dizzy over Baiken.

    Out of everything you listed Ann, I think the only one I havn't put time into is Timesplitters. FPS, right?

    Ah, I've also wasted some time with Guilty Gear! VERY fun game, but to get better I would have definitely needed a lot of practice! I ended up using Ky a lot because he was fairly easy and straightforward to play.

    Timesplitters 2... probably the best co-op FPS game I've ever played in my life! Honestly I liked it much better than Halo. If you can play the GC version I'd recommend that over the PS2 one which I hear is pretty sluggish in comparison. Timesplitters 3 Future Perfect is actually pretty much the same thing; I think overall the levels aren't quite as good and the game is just way too short, but still worth playing if you liked 2.

    Speaking of zombies (again!), how could I forget the Resident Evil series??

    If you want an easy guilty gear win, you can always roll Sol... or Justice if you've no semblence of the meaning of "fair".

    I actually do most of my FPS on the computer these days with either Call of Duty 4 or Team Fortress 2. Both of which are easy to get drawn into for long matches :P

    I've actually never played much Resident Evil. But don't tell anyone >_>;;

    I've been doing some RPGs more recently though. The new one from Square-Enix (Infinite Undiscovery) is'nt quite what I'de hoped. But I can definitly see why Tales of Vesperia sold out the xbox in japan.

    Also getting the chance to play FF4 again on the DS, which is an utterly fantastic way to waste time wating for buses.

    I'de have to say menue based RPGs are what I spend most of my game time with. Though I can't wait to get our hands on Little Big Planet.

  6. I'm really bad at first person shooters ; ;

    Come to think of it, I haven't really played that many games. That last game I played from start to end was Zelda, Twilight Princess ::o.0; Brigade didn't finish:: I really like games like that! I get really addicted to old school Mario games. If you have the Wii you can download different Mario games from the Wii Store. It's those types of games I spend most of my time playing.

    I've seen Brigade play many more games, and I've sat back and got to enjoy the storyline. He's been trying to get me to play FF Tactics, but the AI in that game can be a real bother sometimes... I just can't get through it sometimes. The only other FF game I played was (yes, of course) FF VII... and let's just say I really didn't understand the Materia system in the game. It took me 2 hours, and who knows how many phoenix down feathers I had to beat Sephorith.

    There is nothing wrong with the tactics AI! It's the grid based battle system she doesn't get along with.

    We did some FF X again recently, that's one -I- can't get behind. Tidus is a terrible protagonist.

  8. Old school mario games are awesome! Props to Nintendo for keeping them alive and playable on their newest console.

    Oh whoa, how could I forget Super Metroid? Samus is my hero(ine)!

    Honestly I'm not so great with FPSs on the console either. It really takes some practice, like driving without a wheel. Having a mouse is just way way more natural, though being able to point and shoot would be even better... but at least the Wii shows that there is hope in new and better game controllers!

    It's been so long since I played any of the FF games; I definitely liked some of the systems more than others but I can't remember which. FF Tactics I keep getting confused with Vandal Hearts, but I recall that I liked Tactics better. The only thing I didn't have the patience for in FF7 was getting the golden chocobo, and I also didn't bother with Aerith's limit breaks. FFX REALLY tried my patience with all the pretty cg taking the controls away every other scene, so I actually had to put it aside and couldn't get through it until years after I bought it. I find it really funny that they sell Chinese DVDs of just the game cut scenes...

    Hey now, don't knock chinese DVDs, thats how we scored the third live action death note movie.

    I never played vandal hearts, I'll have to check that out... and... um... I never played Metroid either >_>;

    Golden Chocobo wasn't bad, but Aeris's (I can't bring myself to say Aerith, it came out Aeris the first time i played it, so Aeris it will be forever) Limit breaks. Only the 4th one was a pain in the ass if I recall, I didn't see a point since you get it one dungeon before she... leaves.

    btw. I submit that I need an avatar picture thingy. Any suggestions on what anyone?

  11. I heard only vague things about the third Death Note movie so I just looked it up. I wasn't nearly as into the manga story after L was gone (especially the whole Near/Mello arc) since the best part of the series was the interaction between Light and L. Anyway what did you guys think? Worth watching?

    No Metroid?!! Actually Clover, if you like the Mario games you might like Super Metroid...

    It was good. Near was in it. He didn't talk much though, and I'm pretty sure they made Mellow a girl. It wasn't as good as the previous ones, but is it worth the 2 hours or whatever it is? yeah I'de say so. It -is- L being L after all.
