hi hi! I'm really excited to have found this place. I heard some people talking about it at the Aki Matsuri event on Sunday. Too bad, I didn't find it earlier it would have been nice to meet everyone who was there! Anyways, I can't wait to participate in all the events that are coming up! ^.^V

Hi Clover! We're so happy you found us too! Were you dressed up at the Aki Matsuri or did you talk to anyone in the Cosplay Show? Can you tell us a little bit about yourself... like your favorite anime/manga? What's the next local event you're planning on going to? The best thing about this community is that most people here are actually physically in the area (at least sometimes!), so next time I'll definitely try to organize a meetup at an event so we can all introduce ourselves in person!!

Hi Ann! Yes, I was dressed up at the Aki Matsuri, I have a few pictures here (http://standsforeverything.deviantart.com/; not many photos up yet, I just started it). I didn't know anyone at the Cosplay Show myself, but it really got me wanting to get more involved. As for my favorite anime/manga, I really enjoyed Deathnote, and Azumanga Daioh is what cheerfully wakes me up in the early mornings. My fiance and I were wanting to check-out the meet-up at the Panera place tomorrow evening. We hope to meet everyone there! ^.^

Those are great photos of the event and I like your costume, Clover! I was a big fan of Death Note since the start (I was reading the manga before it even came out here) so it's really cool to see a lot of fans here now! Is that your fiance as L? He looks just like him!
Unfortunately I live pretty far from the Panera meetup in SJ but let us know how it goes, and if you could mention BayAnime.com to the people there we would really appreciate it too! ^^

Hi Clover and welcome! The Aki Matsuri was a lot of fun ^^ Did you participate in the cosplay show as well? There are sooo many events in the Bay Area, from the big ones to the fan created gatherings. It's pretty endless, so you will have a great time. That is how I met some of my greatest friends to this day :)

Yes, the Aki Matsuri was a lot of fun! We weren't actually participating in the cosplay show, but I did dress up as Misa Amane from Deathnote. I was wearing a red skirt, fur collared jacket, and knee-high socks. Not one of her more extravagant outfits, but a traditional one at best. ^.^V
The calender is so full of fun events, I'm probably driving Brigade crazy with all the events I want to participate in... especially anything cosplay related!
