well...keep an eye on woot...there was a ps3 (one of the earlier revs) for 299 or something like that...or maybe it was 199...I forget.
it was gone in 10 secs though....one guy bought all they had.

Fatal Fury/King of Fighters....classics (neogeo and I remember the game gear versions too)

SFIV looks very tempting, but I'm also lacking in the hardware department.
the only fighting game i'm good at is samurai shodown 3, and that is because i only use shizumaru in upper grade mode (which means you can't block, but your super meter is always charged). the game is broken in that he can KO the other guy with one (well-timed) combo attack. i've lost many a friend playing this game... good times...

street fighter 4, viruta fighters 4 and 5, jump!ultimate stars, samurai showdown 64(i dont know if anyones even seen that one,but its dope), dragonball z budokai 3, marvel vs. capcom 2(which im awful at) and i cant wait to get naruto ninja destiny 2.akatsuki rules.

Soul Calibur series in general, Immaterial and Missing Power/Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, Guilty Gear series in general and Smash Brothers are probably the only ones I really focus on (and I still suck). Maybe Melty Blood too but haven't really played it seriously.
DOA and Tekken were fun back in the day though.
Bushido Blade was was interesting though I only got to play it once. One good clean hit will kill the opponent. In that vein, Die by the Sword also had hilarious gameplay via dismemberment and easy deaths.

Some local guys seem to have tournaments in my area in Concord every once in a while. I can pass the info onto here to see if anyone would want to go and possibly battle for moneyz.

Looks like there's one coming up at the end of this month if anyone wants to go let me know so we can meet up or something. Check here for details. If I have cash at the time I think I might enter. I'll lose hard but might be fun.

I went and bought Arcana Heart yesterday. So far I like it but will probably take a while 'til I'm anywhere close to decent at it. I'm so used to Capcom fightan games.
