A new Sanrio store has opened in San Francisco Japantown. It’s the largest Sanrio store I’ve ever seen and at least twice the size of most other shops in the mall. They have all the Sanrio and Hello Kitty stuff you could possibly want, including Hello Kitty guitars!

Location: Sanrio #295, Kintetsu – Japan Town, 1737 Post Street #315, San Francisco, CA 94115
Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 10am – 6pm; Friday – Saturday, 10am – 8pm

March 21, 2009
10:00 amto5:00 pm

On March 21, 2009, the Anime Society of Antioch High (ASAHI), in association with Antioch High School, will be holding its first annual ASAHI-CON. ASAHI is a school club at Antioch High dedicated to teaching students about Japanese using Japanese pop-culture. This convention was created for the purpose of teaching the ASAHI club’s members and interested students about event planning. The event will feature a game room, a swap meet, live programming on stage, a food court and a video room where we will show some of the latest anime and live-action shows for public view. Costume Play (Cosplay) is definitely welcomed.

Students can bring a flyer seen around town or student ID for a $2 discount off the entry price of $5. The convention is from 10 AM – 5PM on the campus of Antioch High School (700 W. Eighteenth St. Antioch, CA 94509)

ASAHI-CON: Building the Bonds of Fandom

For more information please e-mail ASAHi adviser Jason Ebner through his Antioch High School Address.
